The straightforward Resin Driveway System™ process explained
From helping you with the initial concept of your resin driveway, patio or path to post-installation care and everything in between, our experienced team are here to make the experience as easy for you as possible. Here’s an overview of the Resin Driveway System™ process.
First fix
We measure and mark out the shape of your new project and set levels for the second fix.
Our team then carefully excavate the shape of your new driveway to a depth of 200mm and dispose of the waste for recycling.
Second fix
The excavated area is then framed with the border of your choice from our stone, granite, paver and ever-edge range.
New resin-top manholes, drains, gullies and gutters are replaced or installed if applicable
Third fix
We then pour and compact the super-strong SUDS compliant monolithic sub-base to a depth of 150mm.
The project is then cleaned and prepped for the final stage of the process.
Final fix
The resin-bound aggregate colour of your choice is then laid at 20mm and machine finished we then add the anti-slip coating.
The following morning the driveway is fit for foot traffic; however, 24 hours curing time is required before any vehicle use.
Good for the environment
The Resin Driveway System™ is water permeable and fully SuDS compliant. Because water can drain through to the ground there is no surface water run-off, which overwhelms drains and rivers causing flash flooding. In addition, the Resin Driveway System™ filters out pollutant buildup in the atmosphere and on your driveway (like oil, rubber, fertilisers and detergents) preventing them from entering our rivers and causing damage to our wildlife habitats.
No planning permission required
The porous SUDS compliant design of the resin Resin Driveway System™ reduces environmental impact, a fact that makes them a favourite of government planners and local authorities. For this reason planning permission is not required for the installation of a Resin Driveway System™, as opposed to concrete, tarmac and block paving which does require planning permission for any area over 5m².
